Professor how many BB horses have been busted for PEDS and why this man continues to getaway with murder.
In Baseball when a player gets busted for PEDS he gets suspended for half of the baseball season[80 games].
Get caught a second time you are suspended for the whole year [162 games]. I guess the Navarro thing has done
nothing to slow down these cheaters. Professor what's the biggest suspension BB has ever served and are their
any monetary penalties....not that it matters winning a derby nets you 500 million....lol....Just thought i ask.

What SS ..... you didn't see the blue-blood pedigree on the winner?! ...... PROTONICO x BRILLIANT SPEED ....... only foal from a 7yo dam .
lol, what a fool you must feel.

He gets busted all the time but it gets swept under the rug one way or another. Justify, Charlatan, Gamine. It's back pain medicine tainting the feed or whatever.
He's just a great trainer. Better than anyone else. Why else would the owners of Maximum Security select Baffert to take over when Servis got busted with a drug barn?
The Navarro thing will make things worse ...... except it will be less likely to get a vet to conspire. Trainer's cannot go to jail for cheating racing. It is not against the law .... it only breaks racing rules. They can be fined or suspended. But Vets can go to jail for manipulating drugs. That is against the law.
I don't know all the intricate details but that is the gest. So low-tech cheats like milk-shakers and such won't have worry about much now.
This why the push to stop Lasix ..... it masks alot of other stuff.
Hey, I kept it short, but you asked. lol

FYI, he only uses the good $hit when purse is $500k and up. Simple check of the stats tells us this. That is my handicapping tip of the day.

I'm sorry, I may have mis-spoke ..... it might be $300k. I can't remember, it's one or the other. Still think it's $500 though. Maybe I'll check it later. I probably have a report laying around I can find.

How he gets away with it?.....Its called money and power

Rule 1233 states: A trainer shall be responsible for the condition of any horse that is entered regardless of the acts of any third parties.

As of July of 2020 BB has had 27 drug violations.

I double checked this morning .... it is 500k. More so, 500k outside of Cali and win% rises to 34%. (remembered right for a change)

That's over 2 per month. One every other week. Just another day in da office.
lol
too funny
Rules, rules, rules. All we've got are rules.
Makes me think about traffic tickets and city quota. It's about making money, not enforcing rules.

Professor you getting all nummy nuts this is serious stuff. I suggest we start a petition and get all governing bodies out
of office....Then i nominate you to get to the bottom of this disgrace. All they have is cheaters in this industry. Whatever happen
to good old fashioned ethics and responsibility. What about the trainers who play by the rules....What do you say to them?

Sadly, most honest trainer's lose their horses and go out of business. I could make a list.

So I have two questions.

Do they all use drugs to enhance their horse's performance?

And what is the harm in doing so?

No, they don't all use drugs nor all the time.

Question 2 is dependant on the usage, in Baffert's case it has already been determined he has a history of horses having unexpanable heart attacks in their stalls. Horses in their prime. So that is just 1 type of result on record.

A study of horse performances can lead you to who is doing what. Like I said earlier, in Baffert's case, his horses moved up under certain conditions .... $500k purse outside of Cali.

This is all old school stuff. It just seems new because it got headlines. None of this stuff is new.Baffert has one angle. Other trainers have different angles. And they have to, or they will clash.

FYI, high-end designer drugs are designed to kick-out as an overage of a legal substance, without being identified. It's an illusion.Baffert's horse tested as overage of betamethasone.
All of his horses busted for the same thing. Common sense tells us betamethasone can't move horses up to that degree. So you can bet he is pissing people off by repeatedly insulting their intelligence. He always claims said horses are not treated with betamethasone. That statement is likely very true.

Thanks for the response, Prof.

I've been handicapping for a long time. But I've never really seen the inside of the horse drug use, how harmful it can be to horses, and how pervasive it is. Heck, I can't even understand how drugs can enhance performance.

So I've always just overlooked it in my handicapping. I do use trainer success in the handicapping mix. Am I to assume that all leading trainers at the various tracks are using illegal drugs that are difficult to detect?

No. I will leave it at that or this will be one long reply.

Baffert baffles me Professor. He claims his horse has never used the drug and yet they found twice the amount the excepted
levels. What his he a Pathological liar?...We now wait for the second sample which pretty sure will confirm his cheating.
I am going to enjoy this.

As of July 2020 now TWENTY EIGHT drug violations

I suggest a lifetime ban [won't happen] which has put horse racing into a precarious position.

Without some kind of National Ruling Commission for U. S. racing in place to set the rules nothing will change.
I had Medina Spirit so I'm not complaining one bit.
